Coaches Notes: Gymnasts are some of the best athletes when it comes to transitioning to a different sport. Balance and coordination are paramount and having those skills firmly developed makes an athlete better prepared for other functional movements in CrossFit. We can use this knowledge to our advantage. Focusing on developing improved body control through gymnastics is extremely beneficial. The Skin The Cat, or German Hang, is a great movement to practice because it contains the tuck, and elements of the front lever, and back lever. You can make this movement more or less difficult by being more strict in the lever positions. This makes it great for developing improvement over time.
