If you have been a member for any length of time at CrossFit Deep, you know that we stress a whole food approach to nutrition. We believe that optimal health is achieved when we feed ourselves real food that exists in nature. When we start to push our bodies further and further at CrossFit, supplements can sometimes become very beneficial. Before we go any further it is important to focus on the word supplement. We want to stress that we take things like Fish Oil and Whey Protein to supplement our diet, not to replace any particular item. No amount of supplements can make up for a crappy diet.
Omega-3 Fish Oil is extremely beneficial when it comes to reducing inflammation. All of our coaches have been regularly taking Fish Oil for several years. It is hands down the easiest way to improve your health and recovery at the gym.
Whey Protein comes in a million styles and brands. We recommend SFH because it is an extremely high quality whey protein from Grass Fed Cows. Sometimes it can be a couple hours before you can grab a meal after a workout. Whey Protein is a great way to give your muscles something good to munch on until you can get to that real meal.
