Coaches Notes

Working your overhead squat immediately after a snatch is great for training the body to sink into the correct bottom position. It is very common to see athletes shy away from pulling all the way under the bar, opting instead to press the bar to lock out from a power position. Go slow on the overhead squats and spend some time at the bottom. This will help your brain feel more comfortable and confident. Each set you should be trying to drop and receive the bar in that bottom most position.
